The Graduate Hotel In Oxford, MS

For those of you that don’t know, I attended Ole Miss for undergrad.  Every time I visit my college town of Oxford, MS I’m reminded of how thankful I am to have been able to attend college in such an idyllic, sweet Mississippi town.  Oxford is a special place, almost like its own little bubble inside Mississippi.  There’s amazing food, lots of culture, the home of William Faulker, and the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

When Graduate Hotels reached out to see if I’d be interested in staying at their property in Oxford, I jumped at the chance.  I’ve actually visited the Graduate Hotel in Oxford before, but I’ve never had the chance to stay there (it books up FAST on football weekends!).

A couple of weeks ago, I flew into Memphis to meet my college roommate who lives there with her family, and we made the short 1.5 hour drive to Oxford for the weekend!

Graduate Hotel Oxford MS

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest front desk staff and guest services personnel.  Even when they were attending to us, they were welcoming every guest that walked through the door.

The Graduate’s hotel lobby is a sight in and of itself to see!  With stunning pink floors, an elaborate book lined bar that doubles as the front desk, and impeccable interior decor, it offers quite the welcome.  There’s no detail left untouched.

Cabin 82

Also situated right off the lobby is Cabin 82, the Graduate’s own coffee shop and breakfast nook.  Not only is it a popular place for guests to fuel up for the day, you’ll find a handful of Ole Miss students studying there as well.  There’s also a nice patio outside to enjoy your coffee when the weather isn’t too hot.

Graduate Hotel also offers the most adorable bikes to use while you’re in town.  We saw a couple putting them to use to ride around the Square.  I’m sure they’re a hot commodity on football game weekends!  The hotel is located just off the famed Square and only about a mile from campus.

The Rooms

The rooms at all of the Graduate Hotel properties are themed around the university town in which the hotel is located.  My room happened to have an Eli Manning jersey painting along with other Mississippi themed art.  We shared two adjoining rooms during our stay and both were so lovely!  Like I mentioned, no detail was left untouched when this hotel was designed!  Even the coffee cups and the toilet paper holder in the room were graduate themed, but in a totally good way!  I can’t even begin to count the obnoxious number of times I said,  “this is so cute!” throughout the weekend!

There are a number of different room sizes and layouts available at the Graduate Hotel.  One of our rooms had an amazing patio and balcony overlooking a neighborhood street.  I could have hung out there all afternoon!

The Coop

Another feature at the Graduate is that it boasts its own bar and restaurant with an incredible rooftop and amazing views of the Square.  The Coop is a full service restaurant and bar.  It’s the perfect place to end your day in Oxford!  We hung out at the bar and on the rooftop deck after a full day of eating and shopping on the Square.

(For my favorite spots to eat and shop in Oxford, check out this post!)

Not only does The Coop have amazing views of the Square, it also has frosé!  So if you happen to visit Oxford during a warm weather month, you MUST stop by and try it out.  Another nice thing about the Graduate Hotel is that the lobby, Cabin 82, and The Coop are open to everyone in town, not just hotel guests!

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Oxford or for a fun weekend road trip in the South, I can’t recommend a weekend in Oxford at the Graduate Hotel enough!  I’m already looking forward to visiting again!

Special thanks to local Oxford photographer Lindsey Meisenheimer who shot these beautiful photos!
