I hope you are enjoying this long holiday weekend! Today I want to share with y’all an online course that changed my life, and I’m not exaggerating! I met Amy at The Blog Societies Conference over the summer while attending her workshop on small business accounting at the conference.

This year, with the blog becoming more of a viable business, I was struggling with keeping track of what was coming in, what was going out, what was tax deductible, and what didn’t need to be reported on my taxes. Basically, I needed help getting my accounting in order. As I’m sure any small business owner can relate, there’s a lot more to it than just sending standard tax documents to your accountant at the end of the year (like I’ve always done!). Whilst it can be beneficial to learn how to do your own business accounting, sometimes things get too busy and there’s no time to take courses like these. If that’s the case for your business, it might be worth looking at outsourced bookkeeping prices to see if you can find a company to complete your accounting for you, giving you more time to focus on growing your company.

After the conference I ended up taking Amy’s online course, Be Your Own CFO, and I can honestly tell you that all of those sleepless nights lost over freaking out about my accounting practices are long gone! Her course whipped me in shape, and I no longer loose sleep over my small business accounting (especially in preparing for tax season!).

The course is broken down into 5 easy to follow lessons, which you can take at your own pace. Along with the course there are tons of printable checklists and forms plus you gain permanent access to a private Facebook group with others who have taken the course. The Facebook group has been extremely helpful in that everyone asks important, relevant questions and there’s always a quick, knowledgeable response.
