Cobalt Chronicles

Ashlee Hightower is the founder & voice behind Cobalt Chronicles. Ashlee started Cobalt Chronicles while living in Washington, DC.  After five years in the nation’s capital, Ashlee moved to Houston, Texas with her husband in March 2019.

Ashlee grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and attended college at Ole Miss and law school at Samford University.  Cobalt Chronicles began in July 2015 out of Ashlee’s love for every day style, travel, and passion for healthy living.

Ashlee runs this site and a legal contracts business, Contracts for Creatives, full time.  Prior to working solely for herself, Ashlee practiced law at a national law firm for four years before moving into the corporate world where she worked as a legal editor at a global publishing company.

Outside of work, Ashlee enjoys working out at SoulCycle and YogaWorks, spending time with her husband, Michael, and traveling.  Check out the travel category for recaps on all of her trips!

For a glance at what Ashlee’s daily schedule looked like when she was juggling everything with a 9-5 job, check out this post!
