Happy Friday! It’s a soggy one here in the nation’s capital, but Friday nonetheless!
Baked & Wired in Georgetown is hands down the best cupcake spot in town. If you’re not a cupcake person, get the Bee Sting – Shortbread topped with almonds and honey! It’s amazing. You’ll most likely have to wait in a pretty substantial line, but it moves fast so don’t fret.
Baked & Wired again – They have the cutest decor. Along with their baked goods, they have a great coffee bar as well.
It’s October so that means it’s officially pumpkin season! Whole Foods has had GORGEOUS pumpkins this year.
I can’t pass up an opportunity to highlight another great, local coffee spot. Compass Coffee in the Shaw neighborhood is a great spot for real good coffee! Fair warning, on this particular morning there was a line out the door so be prepared to wait a few minutes. It’s worth it.
The streets of Georgetown never disappoint.
I hope you have a great weekend! It’s supposed to rain all weekend here so I’m thinking homemade chili, baked pumpkin bread, and football sounds like a pretty good agenda.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
