Georgetown Saturday

I hope you all enjoyed the weekend!  We had the best time on Saturday.  A group of friends invited us to join them on a chartered boat cruise on the Potomac River to see the National Monuments by water.  We decided to head down to Georgetown a little early to grab lunch and walk along the boardwalk.   The architecture, unique shops, local restaurants, and the fact that it sits right on the Potomac River make Georgetown the most picturesque neighborhood.

IMG_4887There are little inlets through Georgetown as you get closer to the River.  This abandoned old boat adds so much charm!

IMG_4908The Georgetown waterfront has so many great restaurants with plenty of patios to grab a drink and take in the scenery.

IMG_4902There were so many people out paddle boarding and kayaking on Saturday afternoon.  They look like little ants in the background. 😉

IMG_4866The boat cruise was great, and I would highly recommend it!  We were able to see the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial all by boat!  They also had a bar and DJ on board – I was not complaining about either.

I have a short work week ahead of me.  We’re heading down to the Gulf Coast to hang out on the beach this week.  Can’t wait!
