New Restaurants & The Perfect White Sleeveless Tunic

White Sleeveless Tunic

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I finally had a chance to try out two restaurants that have been at the top of my list for a while now.  They did not disappoint!  Friday night we made our way to Compass Rose.  OMG.  The menu is an eclectic blend of small portion, street food from around the world.  Be sure to try out the Gambas Mozambique (a Portuguese shrimp dish), the El Lomito (a Chilean pork sandwich), and the Khachapuri (a Georgian cheese bread).  Not only is the food amazing, the atmosphere is really cool.  It’s a must try if you live in the DC area or are visiting!  Saturday night, in between cheering on the Capitals, Michael and I snuck over to Daikaya for a little ramen.  Good lord, this ramen rivaled the dishes we had in Southeast Asia.  It was delicious!  I’ve mentioned the Washingtonian’s 100 Very Best Restaurants list before, but just to keep you in the loop, both of these restaurants have made the list the past two years.  I’ll definitely be making a second visit to both!

Now onto today’s outfit.  I mentioned this white sleeveless tunic in the past two Weekend Deals posts and for good reason!  After first mentioning it here and realizing it was only $28, I had to snag it!  Remember the tunic that I lived in last fall and this winter? (Which by the way is STILL available and marked down to $28 as well!)  This sleeveless tunic is definitely taking its place for spring and summer.  The white tunic looks great with jeans, and the slits allow it to work well with denim shorts also!  I can’t wait to wear it as a cover-up at the beach this summer too!  It’s true to size.  For reference, I’m wearing an XS.
