Welcome!  Let me introduce myself – I’m a transplant to the wonderful city of Washington, D.C. by way of the South.  I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, spent my college days (take me back!) at Ole Miss in the most perfect college town of Oxford, Mississippi, and then loved every minute of the next six years that I spent in Birmingham, Alabama.

This blog has been merely an idea for some time now and after lots of inspiration and encouragement, it’s here!  I hope you’ll follow along as I share thoughts (and lots of pics) on travels, style, delicious eats, and living in this great city.
