I woke up feeling excited and hopeful! The sun is shining and I haven’t turned on the news (key for me maintaining a healthy level of mental sanity today).

If you didn’t vote early, PLEASE go vote today! Stand in line. Every vote counts. Your voice MATTERS. Don’t let anyone tell you differently. And so long as you’re in line before the polls close, you have the right to vote. Don’t leave. Exercise your right to vote – so many people fought for you to have that right.

And after you vote, take some time for yourself. Do whatever you need to do to show yourself a little self care. For my mental sanity, I’m doing my best to stay distracted today. And tonight, I’m going to *try* my best not to be glued to the news all night long after the polls close.
