Happy Friday!  I figured I would just stick with the cherry blossom theme this week (see Monday & Wednesday’s posts) and end the week with some gorgeous snaps of the famous cherry blossom trees!  I’m constantly saying out loud and in awe, “this is where I live.”  For as long as I call Washington my home, I hope I never loose that feeling.  Cherry blossom season is a time in the district when I’m especially grateful that I live here!  The cherry blossoms are only at peak bloom for a couple of days, so even trying to plan a trip to visit the area to catch a glimpse is quite difficult.

As I mentioned earlier in the week, Michael and I went down to the Tidal Basin last weekend to check out the blooms.  They did not disappoint!  My favorite part of taking in the blossoms is walking under the canopies they create.  It’s like walking through a tunnel of pink and white petals.  It’s gorgeous.
