Cherry Blossom Stroll

Free People Tank

Like I mentioned in Monday’s post, it’s cherry blossom season in the district!  The blossoms were at peak bloom this past weekend, and the weather was absolutely perfect on Saturday so we decided to brave the crowds of tourists and check out the beautiful trees down by the tidal basin.  If you don’t live in the DC area and are able to time your visit right to see the cherry blossom trees, they are a must see!  They’re absolutely beautiful.

For our Saturday outing, I wanted to be comfortable since I knew we would be walking a lot, and I also knew I needed to throw on a few layers as it was pretty chilly that morning.  For comfort, these Birkenstocks are the way to go!  Once they’re broken in, Birks are the most comfortable walking sandal!  AND they’ve obviously made a big comeback style wise.  Oh how I wish I would have kept my 1990’s collection.

This tank has been one of my favorite go-tos for the past couple of spring/summer seasons.  It’s made by Free People so it’s definitely a quality tank, but the best part is that it’s only $20!  It comes in an array of colors, 11 to be exact.  Definitely worth stocking up on for the warmer months ahead!  For sizing reference, I’m wearing a small.  It’s loose fitting, has a higher neckline, and a slight racerback.  It’s very easy to dress up or down.  I even occasionally throw it on for workouts!

I layered this classic J.Crew chambray button-up on top (I’ve had this guy for years!), and threw on my Blank jeans and that was that!  Not pictured: My trusty backpack that I lug around everywhere! 😉
