Gift Guide season is officially upon us! I shared an unofficial gift guide last week, Shop Small: 10 Small Businesses to Shop this Holiday Season, but today I’m kicking off my official Gift Guides! This is one that’s top of mind for me since I’m obviously expecting, but also because I have a lot of expecting mom friends. I rounded up my top gift ideas for expecting moms!
Most of the items in this gift guide are specifically for mom, but I know I’m personally asking for several registry items from Santa as well. If you need baby-specific ideas, here’s a link to my registries for reference: Amazon, Target, Buy Buy Baby.
Gift Ideas for Expecting Moms
Check out my gift ideas for expecting moms. You can’t go wrong with any of the items!
The only baby focused item in the gift guide. From all of my mom friends, the Dock-a-Tot comes in extremely handy. It’s available in tons of colors and patterns although I’m partial to the gender neutral marble pattern. The bottom bumper can be undone for extra length as the baby grows.
Hatch has been one of my favorite maternity wear sites to swoon over. I love this fun sweatshirt! All about the elevated loungewear these days! This would make the cutest gift for an expecting mom!
My friend (and mom to 6-month old Miles), Cathy, shared this neck and back massager on IG Stories recently, and I immediately added it to my Amazon cart. Any expecting mom will appreciate this gift! With all of the weird aches from sleeping on your side to carrying extra weight, an on-demand, at-home massage is something I can definitely get on board with!
It’s the little things that bring me joy, and right now, one of those small joys is enjoying my morning coffee or tea in a cute mug. I love these insulated glass coffee mugs. Perfect for before baby is born and after since they’re microwave safe – apparently reheating your coffee multiple times a day is a thing once you have babies. 😉
Personally, I’m not a fan of traditional diaper bags. I love my large Cuyana tote and want to continue using it once baby McHugh arrives. I love the idea of adding this Tote Savvy organizer insert into my bag to easily organize all of the baby items needed for on the go!
As I mentioned above, Hatch has been one of my favorite maternity wear sites to browse and swoon over during pregnancy. They have so many beautiful pieces that can easily transition from pregnancy to postpartum. I know gift cards are somewhat controversial to give as gifts, but personally, I LOVE a gift card, especially to a place that I love but usually wouldn’t want to spend my own money because it feels too indulgent.
Keeping with the gift card theme, I received a couple of Lululemon gift cards for my birthday last month and couldn’t have been more excited to put them to use! Lululemon leggings (particularly the Aligns) are a god send during pregnancy, and I’ve heard they’re perfect postpartum too! I love Lululemon’s leggings because I’m able to wear my pre-pregnancy size – they have a great amount of stretch and last forever (I’ve had mine for years). I promise any expecting mom will be happy to put a Lululemon gift card to use!
A little treat for the moms to be! I’m obsessed with this body butter set! Pregnancy has made my skin incredibly dry. I slather this body butter on my arms and legs every day. I love the fun packaging too! Like I said, it’s the little things these days. The body butters are clean products aka safe to use during pregnancy!
On that same note, I have and love this hand cream trio! I have one tube at my desk, one in the bathroom, and one in my purse! These are especially great right now as my hands are super dry from all of the hand washing, sanitizing, and the cooler temps. Again, these are all clean products – pregnancy safe!
Another hydrating product (and clean product!) that I’ve used since the end of my first trimester. It’s like a luxurious spa treatment after every shower! I apply this belly oil to my stomach, hips, thighs, boobs, and booty. Essentially anything that’s growing to help prevent stretch marks and keep my skin hydrated.
I’ve been trying to drink tons of water during my pregnancy. Again with the little things – everyone loves a cute tumbler! I love this glass one with a wooden lid and silicone straw. Eco-friendly and super chic! It’s available in lots of colors.
Lake Pajamas (nursing friendly)
Lake pajamas are the softest pajamas I’ve ever owned and truly my favorite! I have two pair and live in them. Lake has a whole line of maternity specific PJs that have buttons on the tops making them nursing friendly for after baby is born.
I’ve been eyeing a Lake robe for FOREVER. Fingers crossed Santa brings me one this year as I can see myself living in it after baby arrives. Easy to throw on for those night feeds and early mornings. 😉
