How to Layer a Poncho for Fall

Old Navy Poncho

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  The weather yesterday in DC was AMAZING.  I’m hoping it sticks around for a while.

I’ve been all in on ponchos this season.  You may remember this post from a few weeks ago where I wore this Old Navy poncho (similar option!).  While chatting with a friend over coffee this weekend, we were discussing how to layer a poncho for fall!

I love that this poncho can be paired with so many different layering pieces – a short sleeved tee when it’s warm outside or a long sleeve or turtleneck when it’s cold out.  On this particular Sunday morning, I threw it on over my favorite chambray shirt to add an extra layer of warmth without needing a coat.  I picked up this one up at J.Crew years ago!  I held off on purchasing it for a while because I couldn’t justify the price.  However, I’m glad I bit the bullet because I have worn this thing to death.  It goes with anything and can be worn year round!

Lastly I threw on my Lastly I threw on my for one more layer of warmth.  I invest in one great black blanket scarf almost every fall – they literally go with ANYTHING.  Anytime I leave the house and even think I might get chilly, I bring this guy along.
