Fall Shoe Roundup

Fall is my favorite time of the year for shopping and dressing! Bring on all of the layers and textures. You can check out my early fall purchases here! I’ve already purchased a few new pairs of shoes for fall too. I browsed the internet high and low to give you a big fall shoe roundup! I broke down my picks into four main categories: flats, sneakers, short booties, and tall booties. If you have one of each in your closet, you’ll be set for fall!

Flats: Loafers, Ballet Flats, Mary Janes

Flats are everywhere this fall. Loafers, ballet flats, and Mary Janes are having big moments. For loafers, look for either a lug sole or a unique shaped toe box. For Mary Janes, if you have a narrow foot like I do, definitely go for a pair that has an adjustable strap. All of these styles can easily be paired with straight leg, wide leg, and cropped denim. I’m obsessed with my new woven Mary Janes!

Sneakers

Sneakers had a big moment last fall and they’re here to stay this season as well! The great thing about sneakers and how we’re styling them this year is that you can pair them with almost any outfit and look chic. They pair great with jeans, trousers, and dresses. I have a pair of New Balance 327‘s from the spring that I’m pulling out (see my fit guide here), and I scored this pair of Sambas for the fall! I’ve also been stalking the black and white Sambas for my size to come back in stock!

Short Booties

Please take a moment to go through your closet and donate all of your super short ankle boots, you know the ones I’m talking about – the ones you’ve been wearing for years. We aren’t doing those anymore, ok? The short shaft booties this year are a bit taller and tighter fitting in the shaft. I love a low heel on my short bootie as I tend to get much more wear out out of them.

Tall Boots

While I don’t typically gravitate towards wearing many tall boots, I love having a kick ass pair in my closet to pair with dresses and skirts. You can’t go wrong with the three pairs I included below. They’re all available in several different colors and fabrics/leathers.
