Cheers to a new week! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. As I mentioned Friday, I spent the weekend in Memphis, TN visiting a couple of my college BFFs. Visits like that are good for the soul. It was so nice to get out of the city (and away from the political craziness that’s been constant here in D.C.) and unplug for a few days. With that said, I always love coming back home to the hustle and bustle.
It was incredibly warm in Memphis over the weekend, and the weather has been crazy here in the city lately too. I’ve mentioned that I’m so over my cold weather clothes. I’ve been trying to find new ways to incorporate older pieces with a few new spring items to get me through these awkward weather months until it’s time for full on springtime!
This peplum top is a favorite of mine that I snagged during the fall Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Peplum is still a huge trend and will definitely be sticking around for spring and summer. My top is no longer available, but I’m loving these: one, two, and three! Last week I paired the peplum with a new pair of Frame denim (my first pair, and I’m in love!) and my newish tassel, mule loafers (I’m obsessed with these if you couldn’t tell – examples here and here).
It’s always nice to start mixing in a few new pieces with old favorites for a wardrobe refresh!
