So Jonas was the real deal and packed quite the punch. It snowed non-stop Friday and Saturday. Yesterday, the sun came out and we were finally able to get out and explore – there’s SO much snow! I have to say though, I love it. It’s gorgeous, and it brings out the kid in everyone. There’s also a bit of an apocalyptic feel to the city … There hasn’t been much traffic since a ton of the streets still have yet to be plowed and since many of the sidewalks haven’t been cleared either, the best option seems to be walking in the street. It’s weird and a little liberating all at once. Ha
Now onto the outfit details. This has been my uniform since Friday morning. My go-to Uniqlo puffer coat is always a life saver during the winter months. It’s pretty light weight, but super warm! I love the length and it also has a pretty big collar, which is mostly covered up by my trusty blanket scarf in these pics, but it adds an extra layer of warmth. Along with the puffer, I can’t say enough about these J.Crew Sperry boots. I received these guys for Christmas, and I’m so glad I did! Unfortunately, it looks like they are sold out of the black pair, but I linked similar options below. There are times like these when Hunter boots just don’t cut it. Paired with the J.Crew camp socks, my feet were nice and dry all weekend long.
