Tartan Blanket Scarf

Tartan Plaid Blanket Scarf

There was definitely a chill in the air in DC this weekend.  I enjoy the changing seasons.  Although I’m not a huge fan of the lingering freezing temps that can hang around the Northeast well into what I would consider Spring, the colder days at the beginning of the fall/winter are always a nice change of pace.  This time of year makes me want to try out new soup and chili recipes, throw on a blanket scarf and UGGs, and watch whatever football game happens to be on.

This weekend I pretty much did just that.  I wore this outfit to meet up with friends on Saturday to watch the games.  Unfortunately for my Rebs it wasn’t a great day – next weekend, guys.  I talked about my love of blanket scarves here, and literally two days later I happened to walk by lou lou boutiques and saw this beauty in the window and had to have it.

As for my sweater, this is one of my absolute favorite!  I love the neutral color, and the detailing on the shoulders adds a little interest.  I picked it up at a local shop in DC, Refine.  Refine has an interesting concept – you have to schedule appointments to shop.  It makes for a very intimate shopping experience.  If you’re outside of the DC area, check out their Instagram feed.  The owner of the shop is beyond accommodating, and I’m sure she would be willing to work with you if you’re outside of DC and still interested in some of their items.  I’m obsessed with all of their neutral pieces.
