I hope you all had a great weekend!  On Saturday Michael and I headed over to Union Market to check out a weekend-long event, The Emporiyum.  To say it exceeded my expectations is an understatement!  It was basically a food festival with local vendors mixed in with food and beverage venders from around the country.  Most of the booths had tastings of their offerings and full sized products for sale.  We had to make a plan of attack.  We were there pretty early so we opted for breakfast foods first.  Homemade blueberry tarts, Bull Frog Bagels, and Vigilante Coffee made for the perfect starting point.  After perusing around and chatting with a few of the vendors, we had a few samples of the True Syrups and the guys at True concocted a delicious pomegranate and rosemary cocktail for us.  We also tried a few dumplings, ramen from Tokyo Underground, and a sampling of oysters from The Local Oyster.  Everything was delicious and all of the vendors were so nice and passionate about what they were selling.  It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday!  I would highly recommend checking this event out next year!
