Veluxe App - On Demand Beauty, Fitness, and Wellness

You may remember a few weeks back when I mentioned that I went to a dinner party with the Veluxe team. That dinner was my first introduction to the Veluxe App. If you’re not familiar with it, Veluxe is an App where you can log on and request on demand beauty, fitness, and wellness services straight to your door. For example, if you have a party coming up on Saturday night (holiday season anyone?!), you can simply log onto the app and book a blowout and/or makeup service. The Veluxe team will send you all of the information about your stylist/makeup artist and confirm your date and time.

I had the opportunity to try out the App this past weekend, and bottom line, it was an awesome experience! First, it’s super easy to book an appointment. Once you download the App, you just have to register with your name, address, and phone number. Currently the Veluxe team services Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Chicago. The App will match you with a trained professional in your area (all of Veluxe’s staff are certified professionals). On this occasion, I booked a blowout, but you can book a range of services including hair styling, makeup, a haircut, personal training, yoga, group fitness, and massages.

I received a confirmation email almost immediately after booking through the App. When it came time for my appointment, Maurcell, my stylist, showed up to my apartment right on time. He was so friendly and a pleasure to spend time with! He brought everything he needed in one compact case. I live in DC, so my apartment is basically the size of a box, but it was no problem at all! We set up a little makeshift styling station, and he went to work! All in all the service probably took about 45 minutes. And the best part, I absolutely love how he styled my hair! I realize these services aren’t ones that you might use everyday or even every week, but for special occasions (parties, weddings, photoshoots etc.), what an amazing concept! They also do styling parties where you and a few of your girlfriends can go in together and have a Veluxe stylist come straight to you! How fun does that sound?!

All in all, I would highly recommend checking out the Veluxe App! The customer service is amazing, and I have no doubt that you’ll be super pleased with how your appointment turns out.
