TGIF! I’m BEYOND excited it’s Friday. Want to know why?! I knew you did … I’m FINALLY going to see Bruno Mars tonight! Michael and I (read, I) bought tickets LAST November and the show is finally here! I’ll try not to overshare on Instagram Stories tonight …
In other news, the gorgeous velvet flats pictured above made their way into my closet this week! They are even prettier in person! They’re available here and here (and they also come in blush!).
Let’s jump into a little week in review, shall we?!
Monday
On Monday I shared a review of my staycation at the Avenue Suites Georgetown. I bet they’ll have the terrace fire pits lit tonight! Monday night I had an impromptu dinner at Iron Gate with one of my mom’s friends who was in town with her husband visiting their daughter and son-in-law. Iron Gate was outstanding! If you’re looking for a restaurant to try out in the city, definitely give this one a shot. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was superb, and the service was on point.
Tuesday
On Tuesday I attended the Washington Ideas happy hour celebrating D.C. small businesses. Steadfast Supply had a booth there and featured one of my favorite local designers, Mimi Miller. I have one of her tops and love it! (You can see it styled here.)
Wednesday
Wednesday I shared what I’m currently eyeing to add to my closet for fall. I want to snag a few of these items ASAP, but I’m planning on cleaning out my closet and switching it over to my cooler weather clothes this weekend so I’m trying to hold off on purchasing anything else until after I take inventory of what I have. As a side note, I’ll be adding lots of pieces to my Poshmark closet over the weekend so be sure to check it out!
Thursday
Last night I attended a fun event at the Kate Spade store in City Center hosted by Isoke Salaam PR and Kate Spade where they were showing off the new leopard collection. So many cute things!!
Weekend Plans
BRUNO MARS. I know, I’m too excited. Other than Bruno, I’m planning on shooting some new content to share with you here on the blog, and I might hit up a SoulCycle class at some point. And Ole Miss plays Bama this weekend so that should be fun to watch … #hottytoddy

- This SATURDAY: The Kendra Scott store in Georgetown is finally opening! It’s been a long time coming! Stop by to celebrate the soft opening and receive a free gift when you spend $75. For more information on the celebration on Saturday (it lasts all day), check out this post.
- This coming WEDNESDAY: Did you know Wednesday is National Taco Day?! I’m co-hosting an event at the Madewell in Georgetown to celebrate! There will be free Chaia tacos and Topo Chico drinks.
