Week In Review

The Wharf DC

Happy Friday!  Before we jump into this week, I wanted to share a bit of last Sunday with you!  I mentioned last Friday that Michael and I were heading to the newly opened Wharf to see Trombone Shorty (a New Orleans favorite!) at the new concert venue, The Anthem.  It was SO much fun!  The photo above was taken at The Wharf – as you can probably tell, it was a beautiful night!

The development team did an AMAZING job revamping the waterfront property.  There are tons of restaurants along the boardwalk with plenty of restaurants having seating directly on the water.  There’s also a stage for free music performances (a gospel choir was performing on Sunday night), and they have a huge bonfire pit where people were roasting marshmallows.  Additionally, the music venue, The Anthem is awesome, and Trombone Shorty rocked the house.

If you’re in the DC area, definitely make a point to check out The Wharf soon!

Ok, now onto this week’s Week In Review!

Monday

On Monday I shared a cozy cape for fall.  I’ve been loving all of my Cabi pieces lately.  I pretty much live in the Cabi Cathedral Cardigan.  My friend Anna of Park Avenue Blog was recently featured on Cabi’s website styling the cardigan!

Tuesday

I spent Tuesday evening catching up with Jackie over wine and cheese at ENO.  It was a new-to-me spot in Georgetown – so cute and perfect for a girl’s night!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared five new beauty products that I’ve been loving.  I use all five almost daily!

Thursday

Are you signed up for my Newsletter?!  I send out a once-a-week newsletter on Thursdays where I share tidbits of exclusive info that you’ll only find there!  This week I shared one of the BEST protein powders that I’ve found.  It doesn’t alter the taste or consistency of my drinks!  If you’re curious, shoot me an email, and sign up for my Newsletter so you don’t miss out!

Thursday evening I met up with Elise from Ringlet to catch up over margaritas.  Elise and I met almost two years ago when we were both starting out in the creative world (my blog and her marketing company).  It’s crazy to see how much her business has grown in those few short years.  I always love catching up with her!

Weekend Plans

Other than a coffee date tomorrow morning and a rivalry game between Michael and I’s alma maters (LSU and Ole Miss – Hotty Toddy!), I’m laying pretty low this weekend.  I have a lot to check off of my to-do list to get ready for a few fun happenings next week/weekend.

Other Happenings

Just a few things around the web that caught my eye this week …
