To top things off, I’m flying to Pensacola, FL tonight to then drive to Mobile, AL for a friend’s baby shower this weekend. With all that said, let’s jump right into today’s post!

Things to Note
NEW Clean Beauty Product Alert // I am SO excited to finally be able to share that Beautycounter came out with a brand new, groundbreaking anti-aging skincare line this week – Countertime! We all love retinol, right? I mean, it visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. But what if there were a natural, plant based product that could give you the SAME or even better results?! Now there is! There’s now a CLEAN form of retinol called Bakuchiol! Pronounced bah-kooch-ee-al and it’s a game changer for the clean beauty industry.
Beautcounter launched a full anti-aging skincare line – Countertime – with their Retinatural Complex which includes Bakuchiol (comparable to retinol). The ingredients in the products are totally safe, non-toxic and you can even use them while you’re pregnant and breastfeeding! (Obviously consult with your physician first.) There are six products in the line that are specifically made to work together to cleanse, prep, defend, and repair your skin. You can grab the bundle here! If you want to try out a couple of products at a time, I recommend starting with the Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence and the Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream. The Essence should be applied after cleansing your skin and before any serums or moisturizers. It preps your skin to be able to absorb all of the goodness from serums and moisturizers. The Supreme Cream is a night cream that boosts the hydration and plumpness of skin.
Donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital // Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the Dream Home! The drawing is happening in August! If you’re not local to the Shreveport area, check out other St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway locations here! You don’t have to actually live in the areas to participate. The proceeds from every raffle ticket purchased go straight to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help fund continued research to find a cure for all childhood cancers.
I’m leaving this evening and will be gone for nine days! I’m flying to Pensacola, FL tonight and then driving to Mobile, AL for the weekend to celebrate a friend’s baby shower. My girlfriend is a friend from D.C., but in a bit of worlds-overlapping, she’s also from Mobile, where Michael grew up, so it’ll be fun to see lots of familiar faces!
Then, on Sunday, I’m heading back to Pensacola to pick up my mom from the airport there. She’s flying in from a Cabi conference she’s attending over the weekend in Nashville. We’re then driving about an hour to Destin, FL to kick off our annual family beach trip! My dad, sister, brother-in-law, and Michael are all meeting us there. I’m excited for a week at the beach!
FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK
Listen Up Ladies Tee // I’m wearing this tee in the photo above! I just got it in this week and LOVE it. Not only is it super soft and fits perfectly (I’m wearing a small), I love the message and the graphic design on it too!
Summersalt Swimsuit // I ordered a handful of swimsuits for my beach trip. I mostly wear bikinis, but I always like having a one piece on hand. Perfect example – Michael and I went to a pool party for his office last weekend – needed a one piece! I got this suit in this week, and I am in LOVE! It’s super flattering and so cute! It’s honestly way cuter in person. I snagged the black and white version in a size 4. It’s available in 4 different color combos.
Have a great weekend! And don’t forget to check out my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post! 😉
