In what small way have you already shown up for yourself today? A question posed in The Good Trade‘s daily newsletter this week. On days when I feel like I’m racing from task to task without really accomplishing anything, I’ve been coming back to this question. It’s been a good reminder that I’ve either already accomplished SO much in the day or that I need to take a minute and carve out some time in the remaining part of my day to show up for myself. If you missed this week’s blog post, I chat more about this topic in 5 Ways I Make Time for Myself as a Mom.
I’m looking forward to a fun and productive weekend ahead. Michael and I have plans tonight and tomorrow night with friends. I’m excited to celebrate a friend’s birthday and have a fun date night out to a new-to-us restaurant! We’re planning on trying out Justine! On the productivity front, I’m planning a big closet clean out. I’m resurrecting my Poshmark page because I have so many items I’m looking to purge! Follow along if you’re interested in grabbing some of the items, they’ll be priced verrry low.
This Week’s Posts
5 Ways I Make Time for Myself as a Mom // A more personal post. Musings on the last few years and how I’m committing to making time for myself this year.
The Easiest Way to Cut Your Jeans to Your Preferred Length // I shared a video on how I easily cut my own jeans to my preferred length at home. I promise you won’t mess it up! The jeans featured in the video are new in from Abercrombie. I love them so much, they were just a tad too long (I’m 5’4″ for reference)! They run TTS.
Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Review // We recently visited Baha Mar resort for the fourth time. I updated this blog post to include all the new restaurants we tried out plus a look at the new on-property waterpark, Baha Bay.
Weekly Workouts
My workouts have been all over the place since Mardi Gras season. I was in a pretty good weekly routine with attending hot yoga classes at Romney, a random class at City Surf, and starting to incorporate classes at SWOOT too.
We recently enrolled W in swim lessons at a local gym, so that meant I also joined the gym. I haven’t worked out at a typical gym since before the pandemic. It has its perk for sure, but I definitely miss my hot yoga classes! I’m working on getting in a new routine with heading to the gym a few days a week while still incorporating my hot yoga classes at Romney at least once a week.
I’ve been using the Peloton app to curate my workouts. I recently discovered you can “stack” workouts in the app, meaning you can select workouts to run back to back against one another in the app to compose a longer more diverse workout. For example, I stacked a 10-minute warm up treadmill run, a 10-minute arm workout, a 10-minute shoulder workout, and a 10-minute meditation to make up a 40 minute workout. One of my favorite things about the gym is the sauna! A major perk. I’ve been listening to my meditations in the sauna, easily my favorite part of my gym workouts.

My Favorite Things this Week
New Balance 327 Sneakers // I LOVE my new sneakers. I’d been eyeing this style for a while, but they sell out so quickly! My exact pair is almost sold out, but I found a newly released color combo that’s fully in stock. RUN! I recommend sizing up at least 1/2 size. I ended up sizing up a whole size (to an 8 from my usual size 7).
H&M Black and White Striped Shirt // I wore this shirt nearly everyday in the Bahamas as a cover up (seen here), and I’ve been grabbing it to throw over tanks with jeans at home (seen here). It’s so cute and the material is perfect for these warmer spring days. I love it so much that I ordered the hot pink version earlier this week!
Target Croissant Sleeve Top // This top is so cute and looks designer, but alas it’s from Target! The sleeves are so fun! I also grabbed the matching skirt. I’d say they both run a bit oversized. I have an XS in both pieces.
Have a great weekend
