Week In Review | Rosemary Beach Edition

Week In Review | Rosemary Beach | Cobalt Chronicles | Washington, DC | Travel Blogger

Happy Friday, from Rosemary Beach!  I flew down to Pensacola and drove to Rosemary on Thursday.  I’m here for my bachelorette weekend!  I’m beyond excited to be spending a few days in one of my favorite places in the world, yep, with some of my favorite people!

Let’s jump into this week’s week in review!

Monday

On Monday I shared the brand new look of Cobalt Chronicles!  I hope you’ve had time to poke around and are enjoying the new site design and layout.  If there’s something that’s missing or something you’re having trouble finding, let me know!  Totally open to your input! 🙂  Along with the blog refresh, I shared the perfect plaid blazer for fall.  Every time I share this blazer on Instagram, y’all go crazy!  You can shop it here.  For sizing reference, I’m wearing a size 0.

Monday was a work-from-home day for me.  It was one of those super productive days where I checked everything off of my to do list for the blog and Contracts for Creatives, made it to the grocery store and UPS, and had time to prep dinner before heading to a 5:30pm SoulCycle class!  I made a new-to-me recipe that turned out so well!  It was easy, different, and delicious (even Michael approved!).  It’s this Thai peanut chicken ramen recipe from Half Baked Harvest that I found through Liz’s ‘Cooking with Liz’ LIVE Instagram Story series.  Thanks Liz!

Tuesday

In this week’s Travel Tuesday post, I shared a review of the newly opened Hyatt Baha Mar resort in The Bahamas!  The resort exceeded all of my expectations.  Check out the post and add it to your 2019 travel list!

I kicked Tuesday off with two great coffee meetings at Emissary.  One with Katie from Thrive for Creatives, who is hosting a 2019 goal planning workshop in a couple of weeks at Fostr Collaborative in DC, and one with Ashley from Stacks in the City podcast!  I love meeting up with other creative entrepreneurs who are doing their THING here in DC.  I left feeling so inspired by these two ladies and their businesses!

After an afternoon of catching up on emails, I caught a 5:30 SoulCycle class with one of my favorite instructors, Sunny Mae!  If you’re in DC and haven’t taken one of her classes yet, get on it!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared 4 pairs of fall boots you need in your closet.  I’ve already been wearing this pair non-stop!

Wednesday was my Friday so I spent the majority of the day scheduling blog posts and wrapping up client work for the week.  I also worked on putting together little gifts for all of my BFFs that are here with me this weekend in Rosemary Beach for my bachelorette party!  I’m so thankful for all of my friends and am especially thankful for getting to spend a long weekend with them!  I’ll be sharing the gifts in a bachelorette party roundup post next week here on the blog so stay tuned!

Thursday

I woke up bright and early on Thursday to catch at 6AM flight from DCA to Nashville to Pensacola.  We made it to Pensacola around 9AM and drove the 1.5 hours to Rosemary Beach.  The weather was absolutely perfect in Rosemary – we stayed on the beach until the very last ray of sunshine disappeared!

Weekend Plans

You guessed it, I’ll be living it up on the beach, soaking up lots of sunshine and quality time with my best girlfriends all weekend long!  You can follow along over on Instagram.  🙂

Favorite Things This Week

Cozy Long Cardigan //

It finally felt like fall all week this week!  I pulled out this cardigan (I have it in Oat & Rose), and you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be cozied up in it all fall and winter!  It’s such a comfy and versatile piece!  Perfect for wearing around the house, out to run errands, and great for travel!  One of my favorite things about this oversized, long cardigan is that the sleeves have cuffs so they don’t hang down past your wrists.  An odd perk, maybe, but a great one!  I’m usually an XS in oversized cardigans … I somehow ended up with two different sizes in this one … Size 4 in the Rose and Size 2 in the Oat.  All that to say that you really can’t go wrong with this buy!

Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win //

If you follow along with me on Instagram Stories, you may have seen where I was trying to slug through The Hating Game, my most recent read.  I just couldn’t.  I donated it to my little book shop this week and picked up Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win after seeing that it was Grace & Becca’s pick for the next Bad On Paper podcast book review.  I’m hooked!  It’s so good and right up my alley!  Check it out on Amazon to see if it’s something you’d love too!  I shared my summer beach reading list here.  I’ll be doing a similar roundup for fall soon!

Colleen Rothschild Sheer Renewal Cream //

I’ve talked about Colleen Rothschild’s Clarifying Detox Mask before, which I still use and love!  Since then I’ve added a few more of her products to my collection.  I recently started incorporating the Sheer Renewal Cream into my daily skincare routine.  I apply it in the mornings after washing my face and in the evenings after my post-soulcycle shower.  The texture is so smooth and refreshing.  I love that it’s not as thick as some moisturizers.  It goes on smooth – perfect for mornings when I need to quickly apply makeup after moisturizing.

Have a great weekend!
