I’m finally coming at you from D.C.!  It’s the first Friday in almost a month that I’ve been at home.  Don’t worry, I’m hitting the road again on Sunday. 😉  More on that below!  It was really nice being in town for a full week this week.  I’ve been knocking things off of my to-do list left and right!  Let’s take a look back at the week, shall we?!

Monday

On Monday I shared a wedding-related post on my favorite wedding registry, Zola!  It has made registering so easy.  If you’re local to the DC area, I’m actually speaking on a panel with Zola in a couple of weeks at The Wing in Georgetown.  The event is Wedding Planning 101, and it’s happening on Tuesday, October 2 at 7pm if you’re interested in joining!

The remnants of Florence hit DC on Monday so it was a rainy, dreary day of working at home.  I did get out to make it to a SoulCycle class because … #nevermissamonday.

Tuesday

I kicked Tuesday morning off with a solidcore class.  I’ve been incorporating solidcore classes with SoulCycle for the past few weeks. It’s the hardest workout I’ve ever done, but in a good way!

Here on the blog, I shared a recap of Michael and I’s trip to Portland, Oregon.  Portland is such a cool city!  If it’s not on your list of places to visit, add it!

Tuesday evening I attended my first Tuesdays Together meet up.  Tuesdays Together is part of the Rising Tide Society.   Tuesdays Together meetings happen throughout the country, on the second Tuesday of every month.  It’s where creatives and entrepreneurs gather together for conversation, sharing ideas, and goal building.  It was really fun to meet a new set of creative people in the DC area!  I hope to make these a regular thing.  If you’re a creative entrepreneur in DC, definitely check out the Facebook group!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared all the details on the Erin Condren Friends & Family Sale!  The entire Erin Condren site is 25% off through Monday!  It’s the perfect time to grab your 2019 planner!

I worked from home most of the day on Wednesday before heading to SoulCycle and then to my first Junior League meeting of the year (JL operates on a school year calendar).  I posted about my meeting on Instagram  Stories and had so many DMs from people around the country that are also in the League!  My favorite thing about being in the League is that it’s an easy way to be involved with volunteering in the community.  I volunteer with Bright Beginnings throughout the year!

Thursday

Thursday morning was a coffee-shop-working morning.  It’s so nice to get out of my home office (my kitchen table) at least once a week and post up at a coffee shop for a few hours!  I squeezed in a lunchtime solidcore class before having to shoot a few different looks and products for upcoming blog posts!

Thursday evening I attended the #FallReady2018 event hosted by the Fashion Center at Pentagon City, my favorite mall in the DC area.  They always put on the best events every season!  It’s a chance to get a sneak peek of what certain retailers will have in-store this fall.  It had me feeling all the fall vibes!  I wore the outfit pictured above!  My dress is another Amazon find (a steal at only $17!).  It’s available in a few different colors and perfect to wear now and later with booties!

Weekend Plans

After having such an amazing meal at Pok Pok last weekend in Portland, Michael and I have been craving Southeast Asian food this week.  We booked a reservation at Doi Moi for dinner tonight, and I’m so looking forward to it!

Other than that outing, I’ll be getting a lot of work done over the weekend.  I’m leaving Sunday afternoon to head to New Orleans and then to the Bahamas on Monday with my mom for a wedding planning trip!  We’re visiting Michael and I’s wedding venue for a few meetings and to finalize most of the plans.  It should be a fun week at the beach!  I’m flying back to New Orleans on Thursday, just in time to head to Baton Rouge for the LSU/Ole Miss game (my favorite game of the year!).  A busy, but fun week ahead for sure!

Favorite Things This Week

Erin Condren Planner // My planner is the real MVP all day, everyday.  I posted about it on Wednesday, and I’ll be sharing MORE about it and my day-to-day schedule next week too!  I’ve used the same planner for over 5 years now.  I love it.  It tops my list this week because the 2019 planners are currently 25% off!  So I’m shouting it from the rooftops to make sure you don’t miss out on snagging one for the new year at a discounted price!

Amazon Dress // Another Amazon find!  I’ve been loving shopping for clothes on Amazon lately!  I wore this dress on Tuesday night, and loved it so much that I bought it in navy too (for the Ole Miss game next weekend!).  It’s the PERFECT dress to wear now.  The longer sleeves give it a fall look, but the material and fit are cool enough to wear while it’s still pretty warm out.  I ordered a small and there’s plenty of room!  The best part, it’s only $20!  I’m planning on shooting it next week, so expect it to be on the blog soon!

SkinCeuticals Retinol // I use retinol throughout the week on my crows feet and on my forehead.  But the reason it made my favorite things list this week is because it also works wonders on pimples!  From traveling last weekend, I had a giant blemish pop up on my chin.  I felt it coming … I got ahead of it and applied a dot of retinol on it every night this week, and it worked wonders!  It never surfaced.  The retinol helped to dry it out.  I use the 1.0 percent, but if you’re new to retinol, I’d suggest starting with the 0.5 version

Have a great weekend!
