After spending Labor Day Weekend in Chicago (more to come on that soon!) and enjoying all of the amazing food that the city has to offer, I was definitely in need of getting back on track with a few workouts this week.  My usual go-to is a good run.  Especially when it’s nice outside.

Obviously it’s necessary that I have the right gear when working out.  This Under Armour top is my new favorite workout top!  It is so light weight and has a split back that you can either wear open or tie in a knot.  The split back is awesome for super hot workouts.  These Nike pants are always my go-to.  I love the wide waistband, and the fact that they stay put.

Yesterday, I signed up to run in the Rock N’ Roll half-marathon in D.C. this March.  I’m pretty excited to get back into running longer distances.  I’ve run two half-marathons and one full marathon (all with my sister!), but all of those were a few years ago.  My sister, Lauren, is coming up to D.C. to run in the Rock N’ Roll, and Michael is signed up too!  Now we are just praying that it’s not going to be freeeeezzzing here in D.C. on race day.  I’m no expert, but if you’re interested, I’ve always used this training schedule when getting ready for long distance races.
