Central Park Stroll

Central Park

Back to reality.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I had the best time in New York!  I’ll have a full recap on Wednesday, but one of the highlights was walking through Central Park.  In all of my visits to NYC I’ve never actually walked through the park!  I’ve walked along side of it, but I’ve never actually walked through it.  Crazy, right?!  I think it might be my new favorite place in the city!  Not only was the park itself just beautiful, it was nice to get out of the Christmas crowds jamming up the city.  It’s definitely on my list as a must visit for all of my future trips to New York.  I can only imagine how gorgeous it was in the fall before all of the leaves fell!

Now onto the outfit.  As most of you know, it was rather warm this weekend!  I’m definitely not complaining.  On Saturday, when these pics were taken, it was a little cooler in the afternoon (low 60s) so this leather jacket  (last seen here) and lightweight scarf were a perfect combo!  I threw on leggings for the day for comfort as I knew we would be out and about all day.  Also, I wear these ankle boots non-stop.  Not only are they cute and easy to throw on with just about anything, I walked over NINE miles (thanks Apple health app!) on Saturday in these and my feet were completely fine!

Just as a sizing note – I generally wear a size small, but I ended up taking a medium in this jacket.  The medium fits perfectly over sweaters but is still nicely tailored without being oversized at all.  There are more details on the fit of the jacket here (see the comments section too!).
