This dress is so good! I love a longer length + long sleeves for fall! I shared a peak at the cabi Autumn Dress when I shared this getting fall ready with cabi post! Not only do I love the style, it can be styled so many different ways! It’s two separate pieces … there’s an outer, easy-fitting maxi layer with ruffle detailing, buttons, and a tie at the waist + an inner, contrasting printed slip dress with adjustable straps!
For fall, I love pairing both pieces together for a layered look with booties. If it’s colder where you live or for the winter months, I’d recommend wearing tights with knee high boos for extra layers.
The details on the maxi portion are so cute! I love the contrasting pattern on the cuffs, down the front, and along the ruffle hem. The button-detailing down the front is also super cute. The tie at the waist helps to add waist definition.
For sizing reference, I’m wearing a size XS. I recommend sizing down one size.
Another way to wear the cabi Autumn Dress is to unbutton the maxi portion and wear it as a duster over the slip dress! You can also easily remove the maxi portion and pair it with a fitted black t-shirt (short or long sleeved), black skinny jeans, and black booties!
So many possibilities!
While the slip dress portion of the Autumn Dress can certainly be worn alone, for fall, it’s the perfect base layer for throwing on a leather jacket, cardigan, sweater, or long duster style cardigan!
For this look, I layered the slip dress portion of the Autumn Dress with another one of my favorite pieces from cabi’s fall collection … the Coffee Shop Cardigan! I don’t often say you need something in your closet, but this cardigan is THAT good! It’s hard to see in the photos, but there’s rainbow colored thread woven into the marled grey thread. It’s so pretty, cozy, and fun! Pairs perfectly with the slip dress and looks super cute with jeans too (see it styled differently in this post!).
For sizing reference on the cardigan, I’m wearing a XS. I could have easily done the XXS, but I wanted it to grow with the bump through fall and winter. I recommend sizing down at least one size.
Thank you to cabi, a brand I love, for sponsoring this blog post!
