A rare Saturday blog post! I wanted to share a quick note with you and especially my DC, Maryland, and Virginia readers about a conference that’s happening THIS coming Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference.
Most of you know that I run this blog and my Contracts for Creatives business full time. I’m a huge proponent of self-employment and love the solo entrepreneurship life! The Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference was originally inspired by the missions of two of its sponsors: Freedom Start Foundation and 30 Second Pitch. Both organizations are passionate about creating an environment of encouragement, support, knowledge, and funding opportunities for those who are looking to take the next steps in their career. As part of the conference, 30 Second Pitch is hosting a pitching contest where different women entrepreneurs have an opportunity to pitch conference attendees and panelists their business ideas and one lucky winner will receive $5,000 to put towards her business!
