So I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but there’s a blizzard headed our way!  DC is supposed to get up to 30 inches of snow.  I don’t even know what that means.  I’m not going to lie, this southern girl is kind of excited about experiencing a real blizzard.  We’ll see if I’m still singing the same tune by Monday.  Today I wanted to share my favorite winter wear.  When the temps drop, I’m all about layering.  My usual out-the-door look includes jeans (or leggings) and lined snow boots with camp socks on the bottom.  On top I really go all out.  I usually start with a cami and throw on a thicker sweater.  Then come the big guns – I usually either wear a light weight jacket like this one or my leather jacket, and then layer a big coat on top.  Y’all, I know the J.Crew Stadium Cloth coats are a little pricey, but the one I got for Christmas is SO warm.  It easily competes with my big puffer coat.  So I think it’s definitely worth the splurge!  The one I included below is currently on sale (30% off!). Scoop it up fast.   To top everything off, I never leave home without a scarf and some sort of hat. You’ll notice that I threw in UGG slippers below … they’re obviously not for roaming around outside, but they’re the perfect accessory for being snowed in at home!
