As I mentioned in last week’s Week In Review post, I spent last weekend in Oxford, MS, my college town.  I had a great time spending the weekend with my college roommate!  We ate at all of our favorite spots and had the best time catching up.  I’ll be sharing more about our trip next week!

I was supposed to fly home on Sunday, but my flight was canceled so my week didn’t start off exactly how I’d planned.

Monday

I ended up flying home to DC on Monday.  Hence why there was no new blog post up.  I had planned on editing photos and drafting the post on my Sunday evening flight, but since that didn’t happen, I rolled with it and ended up spending more time with friends that I don’t get to see as often as I’d like.

Immediately upon getting back into DC, I hit up a SoulCycle class.  I needed it after a weekend of eating in the South!

Tuesday

I started Tuesday the same way I ended Monday, with a SoulCycle class!  I’ve really been loving the 7:00 am class.  Since I wake up pretty early anyways, it gives me time to wake up and check a few things off of my to-do list before heading to class.  And then I feel so accomplished all before 8:00 am!

Tuesday here on the blog, I shared a travel update on where I’ve been so far this year and where I’m heading.  It’s always fun to take inventory of where all the past 6 months have taken me!

I spent Tuesday evening at Pentagon City Mall where they graciously hosted a group of us for a summer preview party.  If you’re in the DMV area, they’re having a Summer Ready event at the mall on Saturday, June 30th!  Check out the details here!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared the jumpsuit you NEED in your closet!  It’s the most comfortable thing I own, and it’s so cute!

I spent the majority of my day working at a new co-working space in Georgetown, Fostr Collaborative (seen in the pic above).  I recently started working there and love it!  Since quitting my 9-5, it’s really nice to have a space to work outside of my apartment.  And the creative energy there is amazing!

I spent the evening at LOFT in Georgetown for a DC Bloggers meet-up.  And speaking of LOFT, they’re currently having a 40% off EVERYTHING sale!  A few of my favorites …

Thursday

I kicked Thursday off with another morning SoulCycle ride + a BBG workout (I’ve been squeezing in 2-3 BBG workouts a week – I’m on week 3!).  I spent the majority of my day working at Fostr again on Thursday.  I took a midday break to meet Victoria for lunch and to shoot a few fun athleisure looks for the blog!

I spent Thursday evening at The Graham Hotel in Georgetown with Kendra Scott.  Kendra Scott has so many amazing pieces in the new summer collection!  Dying over these earrings …

Weekend Plans

One of my good friends and her husband are visiting DC this weekend so we have plans to hit up Jazz In the Garden and grab dinner tonight.  I’m excited to catch up since we haven’t seen one another in quite sometime!

Saturday night Michael and I are triple dating with Monica and her boyfriend and Serena and her husband.  We’ve been trying to make this date night happen for a good six months, and our schedules finally aligned!

Besides the evening outings, I’ll be treating this weekend as a working weekend.  I’m heading to the beach next Thursday with my family, and I’m really trying to wrap up a lot of projects before heading that way so that I can really unplug while I’m there!

Favorite Things This Week

St. Tropez Self Tanner // Living in DC I don’t make it to the pool (or the beach) as often as I’d like.  Therefore, I need a little help in the tanning department!  The St. Tropez tanning mousse has been my go-to for years.  It’s the best self tanner I’ve found, and I’ve been putting it to use this week!  Make sure you get the mitt too!

Circle Straw Bag // I’m sure you’ve noticed that straw bags are all the rage this summer.  I finally found one that I love AND at a price I love!  I got this bag in this week and could not be happier with it!  It’s under $35, and the quality is really great!

Instax Camera // It was like Christmas morning when this package arrived this week!  I’ve been wanting one of these polaroid type cameras for a while now, and after seeing Kathleen’s post on her DIY polaroid frame, I finally bit the bullet.  It’s under $100 so I’m not really sure why it took me so long to snag it.  I can’t wait to use it at the beach next weekend!

Have a great weekend!
