Let’s jump in!
My May book read! After The Idea of You (last month’s read), I jumped into American Royals! I finished it over the weekend. It’s a fun, light read. Imagine if Harry, Meghan, William, and Kate were all Americans, and the United States was lead by a monarch instead of an elected president … I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series – coming this fall!
A sign of the times! I ordered Clue earlier this month as Michael and I needed something else to do while grilling out at home on Saturdays. It’s been fun getting back into this childhood favorite!
I had several candles around my house that were down to the last bit of wax. I popped them all on a baking sheet and into the oven (set the temperature to the lowest setting – mine was 170 degrees). It takes a about 15 minutes for the wax to completely melt. Once melted, remove the baking sheet from the oven and use tweezers to remove the old wicks. Choose one of the candle jars to make a new candle! Pour all of the melted wax into one jar. Using tweezers, place one of these new wicks down into the melted wax. I used a fork to keep the wick in place while the wax hardened. Once hardened, use scissors to clip the wick to the correct height. A pretty easy DIY to repurpose the wax remnants in old candles!
An oldie, but a goodie! I pulled this swimsuit out over the weekend – it’s from last year, but still in perfect condition! It’s super flattering and really great quality for the price! I have a size small. It’s available in a handful of colors and under $25!
Two blogging items that have come in handy this month while filming and shooting pics at home – a tripod and phone tripod mount! These two items are great for travel too (when that’s a thing again).
I love this new workout top! It’s soft and a great length. It’s available in lots of colors. For sizing reference, I have a size small.
I started using this 10 Year Journal this month! You essentially jot down a few sentences each day. I like that it’s not daunting, but a great way to collect memories and thoughts over a long period of time without having to keep up with a stack of individual journals.
This is a wildcard purchase that ended up being one of my FAVORITE purchases from Amazon in a while! Michael started whipping up martinis during quarantine. I was looking for some cool, vintage-y martini glasses and stumbled on this set of 4. There are only two reviews, usually a red flag for me on Amazon. But I took a chance, and I’m so glad I did! They’re AWESOME! They look gorgeous on display, and the quality is top notch. They’re a steal at only $35 for a set of 4.
That’s it for this month’s Amazon Favorites! Happy Shopping!
