If you follow along with me on Instagram Stories, you’ve probably seen that Michael and I make cocktails at home quite often on the weekends.  Michael is definitely the mix master.  My favorite cocktails on his menu are the classic Moscow Mule and a Whiskey Smash.  His go-to is an Old Fashioned.

Marcella Kriebel Prints

When my friend Elise introduced me to a local DC artist, Marcella Kriebel, I knew I had to get my hands on a few of her cocktail prints to hang above our bar cart.  I have the Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and Gin and Tonic prints.  I’m planning on using Framebridge to have them framed, but I wanted to share them with you as a “before” in case there’s someone on your Christmas list that would love them as much as I do!

Marcella does other food and drink illustrations too.  I personally love the fruit and vegetable illustrations – how cute would a set of these lemon prints be in the kitchen?!

When Michael isn’t around to play bartender, I used to just resort to opening up a bottle of red wine and calling it a night. However, I was recently introduced to Be Mixed, a cocktail mixer company with a slogan that I can get on board with …. “You’re Better than Vodka Soda.”  The mixers are all-natural, zero-calorie, and sugar-free.  The ladies at Be Mixed, kindly sent over all three of their mixer flavors for me to try: Cucumber Mint, Margarita, and Ginger Lime.

The mixers are super easy to use – for one drink all you need is one mini bottle of the mixer and one shot of liquor.  I combined one mini bottle of the Ginger Lime with one shot of vodka, added ice, stirred, poured it into a glass, and added a lime slice garnish.  The drink was delicious and so easy!

Pairing one of the four pack of mixers with a nice bottle of liquor would make a great hostess gift this holiday season!  Have you tried out Be Mixed?

I received the Marcella Kriebel Illustrations and the Be Mixed mixers as gifts.  However, this post is not sponsored.  As always, all thoughts are my own.
