I hope you had a nice weekend and enjoyed a few Halloween tricks and treats!  Michael and I went to a Halloween party and dressed up as the Green Monkeys from Legends of the Hidden Temple.  I’m probably dating myself, but do you guys remember that show?!  It was a fun and easy costume – what I’m all about.

Today I wanted to share this oversized blazer with y’all.  I love a good blazer.  They’re great for throwing on over almost anything and pulling together an outfit.  As you can see here, the rest of my outfit is super casual – jeans and a white t-shirt.  But the blazer streamlines it and pulls the outfit together.  I also love this particular blazer because of its bright white color.  It adds a bit of crispness to the whole look and obviously debunks the whole “no white after Labor Day” nonsense.  It’s the perfect weight to wear by itself during these weird fall days where it’s chilly in the morning and at night but warmer during the day.  It will also serve as a great layering piece once the temps drop as it’s not bulky and will easily fit under a bigger over coat.

I snagged this blazer earlier this year during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but lucky for you guys, it is now available at Nordstrom Rack and is a steal (under $50!).  It also comes in several different colors.  For sizing reference, I’m wearing an XS.

One last note, I talked about these wedge booties here, but just as a reminder, for some reason they look a lot different on DSW’s website.  However, I promise in real life they are much cuter and look exactly like they appear in these photos.
