Today marks 40 days that Michael and I have been home and sheltering in place. I’ve hit the point in quarantine where I miss getting dressed up. And I miss sharing outfit ideas with you! I shot these date night outfit idea photos before Covid-19 took over our daily lives, and I’ve been holding onto them to post at a later date. But then I thought, why not share them with you today?! So here we are.

Date Night Outfit Idea

I actually wore this exact outfit, minus the heels and jewelry, for a date night at home this past Saturday! I paired the look with these easy slide sandals (only $20!). Michael and I grilled steaks and enjoyed cocktails while chatting with friends via FaceTime.

The Jeans

These jeans and the duster are perfect for date nights at home as both are super comfortable. But you can also see how easily the are to dress up with a cute heel and a few pieces of jewelry. I love these jeans as they’re different than your traditional skinny jeans. They’re wide leg and cropped. The material is actually really soft. The wide legs and soft material make them really comfortable! I also love the button-fly detailing. For sizing reference, I’m wearing my usual denim size 26.

The Duster

Prior to having to stay home, I wore this duster non-stop! I was missing it so I had to break it out over the weekend! I love it because it’s so different yet so easy to pair with a simple tank. It’s super flattering as it drapes perfectly. For sizing reference, I’m wearing a XS. I’d recommend sizing down one size as it’s pretty oversized.

Hopefully we’ll be able to get back to our normal Saturday night date nights on the town soon with friends, family, and our significant others. But until then, we’re making the best of it by cooking a meal that we likely wouldn’t cook during the week, whipping up cocktails, and getting dressed up (just a little) for date nights at home.
