How is it almost August?! Even though I know the summer heat is bound to stick around for a while here in Houston, I feel like fall is right around the corner. Before jumping into August, let’s take a look back at July and chat about the blog posts you loved, the items you clicked on the most, and more! Travel

July was another busy travel month. I was out of town for 13 days this month. I spent time in Mobile, Destin, and Shreveport.

I spent a weekend in Mobile for a friend’s baby shower, a week at the beach with my family in Destin, and I made a trip to Shreveport to support the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway (raffle tickets for the Dream Home are still available!). You can read about the event here!

The highlight of July was definitely spending 7 nights in Destin with my family on our annual beach trip. You can read all about it here!

Wellness

Wellness is always something I’m working on and these posts are an easy way to not only keep myself accountable, but hopefully a place to share a bit of inspiration and a dose of reality as well.

Workouts

I mentioned last month that I’ve been incorporating more weight lifting into my workouts. I joined a new gym, Anytime Fitness, this month! It’s near my house and relatively inexpensive while still having everything I need.

I’ve still be going to SoulCycle and YogaWorks classes. If you’re interested in my weekly workout schedules, check out my Week In Review posts each Friday – I share my workouts from each day of the week!

Makeup & Skincare

I published my second YouTube video this month! I’m trying to dip my toes into more video content creation, and this month I filmed my everyday clean makeup routine tutorial. You can watch it here! It includes 8 steps that I use to get ready in under 15 minutes everyday. The items I use in the tutorial are linked in the notes under the video.

A Look Ahead to August

I’m excited to have a few trips on tap for this month, including a trip back to DC! I’m hosting a workshop in DC and will be there the week of August 6th. I’m also teaching a workshop at The Blog Societies Conference in Atlanta later in the month – both workshops are for my Contracts for Creatives business.
