It’s officially fall, and it’s starting to feel alllmost like fall in DC! While summertime is definitely my favorite season of the year overall, fall is my favorite season in DC. Before living in DC, I’d always lived in the south, where let’s be honest, there’s not really a fall. I’m heading to Baton Rouge for a LSU game this weekend, and the high on Saturday is 85 degrees, which is completely normal. I love fall in DC for so many reasons, the trees that line our street turn a beautiful yellow hue, the humidity disappears, and the mornings and evenings are crisp and cool!
With that said, no matter where you live, and no matter what the temperature is where you’re experiencing fall, you need this front button dress! It’s the perfect transition dress!
Front Button Dress
Big buttons are back, and I’ve been looking for a front button dress for a while. I stumbled upon this one on Amazon. I’ve been finding the best pieces of clothing on Amazon lately (see here, here, and here!). I will say that when I originally bought this dress, it was listed as “red.” It’s definitely more of an orange than red, but I still love it. It’s available in several different colors. And the buttons are real buttons (a question I get asked a lot these days – hey nursing mamas!).
The dress pairs perfectly with cognac colored sandals (as seen here) for those of you down south. I paired it with my new cognac booties that are sure to be my go-to booties this fall and winter!
These fun Stella & Dot earrings pair perfectly with the burnt orange. The earrings are really cool. You can mix and match the different colored leather pieces to create different looks! I went with the dark yellow circle pieces for this outfit.
I grabbed my trusty Quay Australia sunglasses and this beautiful Fossil bag to finish off the look.
