As we are winding down 2016, I wanted to share one more outfit post with you. These photos were shot by Katie at the Library of Congress before we headed to a Christmas cookie decorating party (you may have seen this look then on Instagram or Facebook). We were in the thick of Christmas festivities. As much fun as I had throughout the month of December celebrating with friends and family, I’m ready for a fresh start next week. I’ll be sharing my favorite moments of 2016 next week here on the blog as a way to wrap up the year, and I’ll also have a 2017 new year’s resolution (more like goals) post for you too!
Now a little bit about this look. This waterfall vest has definitely been one of my most worn pieces this season. And every time I wear it, I receive at least one compliment regarding it. It’s so easy to throw on with a simple black tee and jeans, and the vest really elevates the outfit. It’s also warm without being suffocating. I love the sleeveless aspect of it because it can be worn from fall, through the winter, and even into the early months of spring! Another item I always get asked about is this pair of jeans. No one ever believes that they are actually from Old Navy, but I swear, they are! The Mid-Rise Rockstar with sculpt technology in the “rinse” wash are the best!
