Week In Review

Jubilee Ice Cream DC
Jubilee Ice Cream (D.C.)

Happy Friday!  Fridays are the best, aren’t they?!  It’s definitely a treat-yo-self kind of day, hence why I’ll be indulging in pizza + wine (!! – I completed Dry January – more on that coming soon) + a movie tonight, and it’s day to look forward to the weekend to come!  But before we jump into the weekend, how about a little week in review …

On Monday I shared a classic black and chambray combo.  I’ve gotten so much wear out of my Everlane wool + cashmere blend sweater.  I wear it out and about, to work, and it’s great to throw on at night when I’m winding down on the couch!  Y’all may know this, but I’m involved with the Junior League of Washington, and through the League, I volunteer with Bright Beginnings here in D.C.  Our yearly fundraiser is fast approaching, so we had our first meeting of the year Monday night.  Our big fundraiser is a 5K race, which will be held on April 29th.  If you’re in D.C. and are interested in walking or running to support a GREAT cause, you can sign up here!  Or if you’re interested in donating to the cause, you can do that here!  If you have any questions about the organization, definitely let me know!

This week’s Travel Tuesday post included tips on how to prevent jet lag.  Let me know if there are any other travel related topics that you’d like for me to write about, I love hearing ideas from y’all!  Speaking of travel Tuesday, that night I met up with a group of DC travel bloggers at The Gregory Hotel for a fun night of travel talk.  You can see a recap of the night from one of the hosts, The Dining Traveler, here.

There was a little Mardi Gras party with Rent the Runway here on the blog on Wednesday.  I’m waiting for the next opportunity to arise where I can wear one of these stunning dresses again!

On Thursday night, I stopped by Bluemercury (my FAVORITE spot to buy beauty and skincare products!) to check out a few of their new launches.  I already have a couple of the Lune + Aster lip glosses, and love them, but they debuted the Bestie color, and it’s perfect for spring!  I’m a huge fan of their M-61 skincare line (hello PowerGlow Peel!), and they showed off a couple of new additions to the line including this PowerGlow Moisturizer and Hydraboost Line Reducer.

Have a great weekend, and be sure to treat-yo-SELF! 😉
