TGIF! This was my first full week back in DC after traveling for the past four weeks and being gone for FIVE weekends in a row! I’m pretty excited about hanging around the city this weekend … But before we jump into weekend plans, let’s take a look back at this week!
On Monday I shared a floral maxi dress that I can’t wait to wear again at the beach next weekend! And y’all, it’s now 50% off, which makes it UNDER $50! I have a size XS, for sizing reference. 🙂
I spent Tuesday evening with Devils Backbone at a beer pairing dinner that they hosted at The Brig. Devils Backbone is a semi-local beer brewed just outside of Charlottesville, VA. The night was absolutely perfect. DB went with a hiking/camping theme for the event and it was magical. If you caught my Instagram Stories, you got a little taste of what it was like. Not to get too cheesy on you, but it’s nights like that particular night that remind me why I really, REALLY love living in D.C. I didn’t know a soul at the event but ended up sitting next to two lovely women and Devils Backbone’s COO. I had the best time chatting with them while learning more about the brewery just down the road!
On Wednesday I shared a recap of my time spent in London a few weeks ago – where we stayed, what to do, and where to eat! A Paris recap will be coming next week! On Wednesday night I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit and went to a mindful eating workshop at Take Five Meditation where the author of this gorgeous cookbook shared a bit about getting our bodies ready for summer (it was only fitting that the workshop was on Summer Solstice). We also participated in a brief meditation session, which was a first for me. It was amazing! I’ll be sharing more about meditation and Take Five Meditation studio soon!
Last night Michael and I went over to a friend’s house for a small little dinner party – it was so fun to catch up and do something a little different on a weeknight!
Onto this weekend! I have a few fun things going on that I’m super excited about … tomorrow morning I have a coffee date planned with Monica to catch up on life before hitting up SoulCycle (so looking forward to a sweat session!). Tomorrow afternoon I’ll be heading to Hotel Hive here in D.C. for a little staycation, and I couldn’t be more excited! Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Instagram Stories for all of the behind the scenes fun! And on Sunday I’ll be getting crafty while attending a watercolor class hosted by Serena Martin (I mentioned it in last week’s Week In Review!)! If you’re interested in attending, you can purchase tickets here!
Ahhh FIVE WEEKS! Welcome back 🙂 Can’t wait to see you!!
So glad to be back! And to have seen you both days this weekend! =)
