Happy Friday!

I hope your week has flown by!  It was an exciting one over this way.  Along with a few fun projects going on behind the scenes, I feel like this week should be dubbed “baby week” in my world.  One of my closest friends from law school shared that she’s expecting, a close friend from home found out she’s having her third boy, and one of my very best childhood friends actually HAD her baby boy yesterday!  So many babies to meet and love on!

Monday

Here on the blog, I shared a comparison of my Away Carry-On bags (the original and the bigger one).  If you’re in the market for new luggage, I highly recommend checking out Away!  You can use this link for $20 off of your first Away bag!  Monday night, Monica, Katie, and I met Charlotte at Boqueria for one last dinner before Charlotte and her fiancé make the move from D.C. to Michigan!  While we’re so sad to see Charlotte go, I now have a real reason to venture up north and witness a BIG10 football game in person!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a catch up day for behind the scenes blog work.  I’m so excited for a few upcoming collaborations that I’m working on, and I can’t wait to share with you!  If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you may have seen me mention that I recently started attending meditation classes at a new studio here in D.C.  This week’s class was “Inhibiting the Body.”  I’ve never meditated a day in my life before I signed up a few weeks ago, but when I tell you that it’s something I look forward to every week now, I’m not lying!  I plan on dedicating a full post to my experience thus far, but just to give you a little glimpse … I prefer the 30 minute classes as they seen much more manageable (time commitment wise) to me.  I always rush into the studio from the craziness of the day and leave feeling like a new person!  I highly recommend trying out meditation if you’re looking for some calm in your life.  If you’re in D.C., check out Take Five Meditation studio!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a recap of last weekend spent in Newport, Rhode Island!

Thursday

The Nordstrom Sale is still going strong (it ends NEXT Sunday!), and on Thursday I shared lots of picks that are IN STOCK and under $100!  Michael and I had a few friends over for dinner last night.  Nights like those are good for the soul!  I haven’t laughed that hard in a while!

Weekend Plans

The weather forecast is looking prrrrretty dreary for the majority of today (Friday) and Saturday.  BUT I’m super excited to be meeting a couple of friends tonight for dinner at Red Hen – An Italian place here in D.C. where it’s impossible to get a reservation.  Our plan is get there early and play the waiting game.  Michael and I have been once before and it was delicious!

Our plan for Saturday is/was to visit a couple of vineyards in Virginia and spend the day out on the lawns, however, the weather is not on our side at the moment … So we’ll see!
