Week In Review

Week In Review

This week has been a doozy.  Let’s just say I’m so happy to see Friday!  I spent most of my week checking things off of my to-do list so that I can unplug a bit this weekend – my mom and sister are visiting from Shreveport!

Monday

On Monday I shared one of my favorite looks so far this fall!  Don’t judge if you see me wearing it again real soon!  My sleeveless sweater is still marked down – it’s such a good layering piece!

Tuesday

Tuesday flew by as I spent most of my time outside of my 9-5 working on blog projects (so many fun things coming for the holidays!) and contract jobs (more on that below)!  I managed to squeeze in a little online shopping after popping into Nordstrom for a return.  I’ve had my eye out for non-cardigan sweaters.  Here are a few I found that are currently in my cart …

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared 4 pairs of boots that you need for fall!  I’ve been wearing this Dolce Vita pair non-stop!

Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to speak at the Bubbles & Bloggers monthly meet-up.  Did you know I have another website where I provide contract services for bloggers and other creatives?!  I spoke to all of the lovely ladies about the importance of FTC guidelines and contracts in the blogging world.  It’s imperative that bloggers protect themselves by having contracts in place when working with brands.  It was a fun night – so many self-motivated boss babes making things happen!  Thanks to Dani and Caro (the head ladies at Bubbles & Bloggers) for inviting me to speak!

Thursday

My mom and sister arrived to D.C. on Thursday!  We grabbed a late dinner at one of my favorite spots, Ghibellina, before calling it an early night … we have a big day planned today!

Weekend Plans

I’ve SO been looking forward to this weekend because my mom and sister are visiting!  They arrived last night from Shreveport and are staying until Monday.  We have a fun day planned today.  We’re heading out to a couple of Virginia wineries!  I’m super excited to show them this side of D.C. as we usually always hang around the city when they’re in town.  Other than that, we’ll just be eating lots of good food and doing a little shopping.  We were considering going to the Redskins/Cowboys game on Sunday, but the weather isn’t looking promising.  But when your team is in town … We’ll see what happens!  Follow along with us on Instagram Stories!

Other Happenings

Do you remember when I shared my post on affiliate marketing and how bloggers make an income from it?!  (If not, check it out here!) I mentioned a course that I took that REALLY helped me increase my affiliate marketing income … That course is on sale this weekend!  Use code FALLSALE2017 for $28 off of the course. Sale ends on Monday, October 30th!

I completed the course, but still reference it often.  It’s worth every penny, and I easily made back the cost of the course through what else but affiliate marketing!  In the spirit of full disclosure, I do receive a small commission if you sign up for the course through my link.  But please know that I would not be sharing the course with you if I didn’t truly believe that it’s helpful and completely worth the investment. I’m not being paid to promote this course, I just wanted to share something that has helped me and can hopefully help you too!
