Week In Review

Happy Friday!  I hope you’ve had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!  Michael and I spent last weekend in Milwaukee and made our way to legendary Lambeau Field to watch LSU in its opening game against Wisconsin.  Unfortunately, they lost, and even more unfortunate, my Ole Miss Rebs lost too.  Not a great weekend in college football, but I’m hoping this weekend will be a little different!

We had a really great time exploring Milwaukee while we there.  My top three spots to visit if you happen to make it there would be Collectivo Coffee, where I’d recommend snagging a latte (as seen above) – it was perfect, the Milwaukee Public Market where you can get an array of different eats, and Cafe Benelux where I’d recommend sitting on their rooftop patio and trying the local Milwaukee Brewing O-Gii wheat beer – it made for quite a fun afternoon!

Having Monday off of work was so great.  I was able to shoot so much content for the blog – I’m so excited for what’s to come this month!  I can’t wait to share with y’all!

Tuesday I was back on the work grind, but I had a lovely surprise midday when DC Refined published this article and included me in their list of 20 fashion bloggers in DC that you should be following!  I’m so flattered to be in such good company with so many amazing DC bloggers!  You can follow along on Instagram here.  =)

I had a special treat on Wednesday when one of my best friends from law school made a pitstop in DC on her way to NYC.  We had the best night catching up – we went to one of my favorite spots in the city, Lupo Verde, for dinner and hit up Philz Coffee before she headed on her way Thursday morning.  Also on Wednesday, I shared a fun post in collaboration with Old Navy and People.com talking about how my home state of Louisiana has influenced my style!  Check it out here.

I’m so excited to be in DC this weekend after being gone last weekend, AND even more excited that I’m in town for the next four weekends in a row!  I can’t even tell you the last time this has happened.  I’m looking forward to watching college football on Saturday and cheering on the Cowboys on Sunday.  Cheers to the weekend!

EEK! Congrats on being one of the 20 bloggers to follow – a well deserved piece of praise! I am also in town for that long — can’t believe it! As much as I love to travel, it is very nice to just sit still sometimes.
