Happy Friday!  I hope wherever you are you’re having just as beautiful of a day as we’re having here in DC!  Yesterday, there was a true feeling of fall in the air, and it had me giddy.  Let’s jump right into today’s week in review!

Monday

I’ve mentioned this before, but as part of my newish work-from-home schedule, I try not to schedule any calls or meetings on Mondays.  I love having the full day to jump back into my work and organize my week.  With that said, Monday was a strictly work-from-home day.  I took a late SoulCycle class to end the productive day at home.

Here on the blog I shared a new outfit post including three tips on how I transition my summer wardrobe to fall.  Don’t be surprised if you see me in the & Other Stories top from the post this weekend!

Tuesday

I had a few contract client projects to get out the door so I wasn’t able to hit publish on a #TravelTuesday post this week.  I’ll be back with a new one next Tuesday!

Tuesday evening I went to my second solidcore class.  I attended my first session last weekend and loved it.  It’s super challenging, and I’m actually not that great at it – the moves take a lot of strength and balance – two things I’m working on.  But if you’re in a city with a solidcore studio, I highly recommend checking it out!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared the four products I use to get longer, thicker lashes without eyelash extensions.  I swear by all of those products!

After a workday at home, I met fellow blogger Caroline from The Thrifty Spoon for an afternoon coffee date.  If you’re looking for affordable, delicious spots to eat out in DC and easy at-home recipes and snacks, definitely check her out!  We actually realized that we’re both from Louisiana and both of our significant others are from the Mobile, AL area!  Crazy, small world.

I ended the night at Apothékary by JRINK for a Mask & Meditation event.  Ivy Wild Beauty provided organic, vitamin C face masks from Orgaid for us to use during a meditation session lead by recharj (a meditation studio here in DC).  It was such a fun event!  And it made me miss my weekly meditation sessions.  Definitely considering adding that back into my schedule!

Thursday

It was such a beautiful day here in DC on Thursday!  I took full advantage and went on a long walk before meeting a friend for coffee.  I worked from home with the windows open all day.  The crisp air had me longing for fall!  It’s supposed to steam back up next week, but just a little taste of cooler weather was definitely nice.

I ended the day with a SoulCycle Activate class, and it was killer!  If you haven’t tried Soul’s new Activate class, definitely give it a whirl.  It’s different than the traditional class.  There’s more interval training and a heavier weights session.

Weekend Plans

After grabbing coffee Friday morning with Kelsey, I’m heading out to Congressional Plaza to work on a fun collaboration that will be hitting the blog soon!  There’s a giveaway coming your way too, so stay tuned!  This evening, Roofer’s Union is kindly hosting Michael and I to try out a few of their new menu items!  I’m excited to visit this spot as it’s a fixture in our neighborhood!

This is the first weekend since late July that Michael and I have spent a weekend together!  Our travel schedules have been crazy and mismatched.  I’m excited for low-key morning coffee strolls and hanging out with friends.  We’re heading to a “Burning Man” theme party on Saturday, which should be interesting considering I’m the least likely person to ever attend the actual Burning Man festival … It should be a fun day nonetheless!

Favorite Things This Week

AirPods // If you saw my Instagram Stories earlier this week, you may have seen that I finally ditched my tangled, beat up pair of Apple headphones.  I finally bit the bullet and got the AirPods.  And holy moly!  I’m kicking myself for not getting them sooner.  I wear my earphones all day, everyday.  These are a game. changer.

Under Armour Tank // I partnered with Under Armour a few weeks ago to take a workout class here in DC.  They gifted me a few items from their newest line to wear for the class.  I’m obsessed with this $20 tank!  I love the skinny straps and the racer back.  It’s a nice length too.  I usually tie mine up in a knot at my waist.  I have it in black, but it’s available in 5 other colors too!

Color-block Sweater // This sweater from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is FINALLY back in stock in all sizes!  I pulled it out this week to pack for a trip next week.  It’s even cuter in person and super soft.  Size up, I have a size 6 (the one that fits like a 2-4).
