Longer, Thicker Eyelashes WITHOUT Extensions!

I’ll start this post out by saying that I wouldn’t be posting about this topic if these products didn’t actually work.

Long, thick eyelashes are all the rage right now (and have been for sometime), but with everyone on my Instagram Stories feed showing off their eyelash extensions, I thought for sure that was the only way to get longer, thicker lashes.

I was on a mission. I decided to try out a lash serum in January and within three months I had been asked multiple times if my lashes were real (#missionaccomplished!). Today I’m sharing the four products I use to get longer, thicker lashes WITHOUT extensions!

Lash Boost Lash Serum //

At the beginning of this year (January 2018), one of my good friends suggested trying out the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost Serum. To be honest, I was skeptical. But she happened to mention the serum right after I met Samantha from Le Chateaux Style in person at an event. Her eyelashes were crazzzzy long and gorgeous! Her secret: Rodan + Fields Lash Boost! So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try it out.

You should know that the serum is expensive. And by expensive, I mean like $150+. BUT I would NEVER suggest you buy a product that costs that much if I didn’t 100% believe in it. If this is out of your budget (which is totally understandable!) then there are other serums out there which you could try, such as Xlash serum which comes at a more affordable price. This Xlash conditioner works by strengthening your lashes and boosting the volume. But if you can spare the money to spend on the lash booster serum, I think it’s worth every penny.

I started using the serum in January and within three months I had multiple people ask if my eyelashes were real or extensions. I saw a significant growth in the length and thickness of my lashes!

To ease your mind on the high cost of the product, I apply the lash serum on my top lash line every single night before bedtime, and I JUST ran out of my first tube in August. I occasionally forget to apply it, but for the most part I’m pretty good about it. And it’s so good that I bought another tube! So essentially, you need two tubes per year, which compared to the cost of eyelash extensions is pennies in the bucket! This product is 100% worth the hype (and the price).

Eyelash Curler //

Even though my natural lashes are longer and thicker thanks to the serum, I still like to amp them up a bit. I use this eyelash curler before applying any mascara. A few quick squeezes with the curler goes a long way! No need for a fancy product here. I use this inexpensive one from Sephora!

Lancôme Mascara Base //

My beauty guru friend Victoria introduced me to Lancôme’s mascara products. The Lancôme CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base is a white primer that I apply before my actual mascara. It helps to lengthen and thicken my lashes even more.

Lancôme Monsieur Mascara //

Lastly, I apply a coat of Lancôme’s Monsieur Big mascara. I love this mascara! The wand is big and fluffy and it goes on without clumping. No spider-y eyelashes here! This mascara is also great to swipe on even when I don’t feel like I need the curler and primer. On weekend coffee runs, a swipe of this product, and I’m ready to go!
