Beautycounter Charcoal Face Mask | Amazon Pearl Embellished Headband (set of 3 for $15) | Kendra Scott Heart Necklace | J.Crew Tee | Laura Metzler Limitless Ocean 02 Print
My absolute FAVORITE detox mask is Beautycounter’s charcoal face mask. It’s my OG mask. I’ve been using this mask for close to five-ish years. It’s a product that I restock every time I’m close to running out!
Why is it the best?
Beautycounter’s charcoal face mask is the best detox mask because it works. I love that the product itself is thick but goes on smooth. As it dries, you can see it actively pulling out all of the ickiness from your pores. You can feel it tightening on your skin. Little tiny dots will appear on different areas – that’s evidence of the mask working its magic to pull out all of the impurities in your skin!
Once it hardens, it’s time to wash it off. I love, love, love how soft and clean my skin feels after using the detox mask! It feels so fresh! I have no doubt you will notice an immediate difference in your skin’s texture.

Benefits of the activated charcoal mask include purifying and balancing of the skin. The charcoal helps to absorb excess oil and draws out impurities. Salicylic and lactic acids in the mask aid in a gentle exfoliation, giving skin a smooth, polished look with a minimized appearance of pores.

How to Use
I like to use the detox mask at least once a week, on Sunday evenings before winding down. It’s a great way to end the weekend. And a great way to practice a little self care before diving into a new work week! Beautycounter recommends using it 2-3 times per week for best results, but I find that even just using it once a week works wonders!
Use your finger to apply a little bit at a time until your entire face is covered. Don’t forget your upper lip! For some reason, I always come close to forgetting this area. It doesn’t take much product to cover your face. The tube itself usually lasts me about 6 months (and that’s with Michael using it too!).
Let the mask sit for at least ten minutes. It’ll dry and harden and become tight on your face.
Use warm water and a wash cloth to remove the mask. Once the mask is removed, you’ll have the softest, freshest feeling skin!

Honestly, I am SO bad at using masks. I’m so impatient and hate washing my face off again after I’ve already cleansed. I’m ridiculous, I know. But this seems like a GREAT mask!
