Happy Friday friends! This week was a good one. A nice mix of work and play. A productive week on the work front, the weather wasn’t too shabby, and I was able to check out two new-to-me restaurants in Houston!

Monday

On Monday I shared a March recap post that included a peek into our new home, a travel update, an update on my wellness goals, March’s most popular blog posts, and the most clicked items in March! One of the items I mentioned in the wellness update section is that I’m excited to finally be replacing a few of my household cleaning products over to natural, safe products.

I’ve taken the same approach with my beauty and skincare products – switching to a safe, non-toxic product when I run out of a product I’m currently using. With the move, I’m finally almost out of my standard Target-run cleaning supplies. I placed an order this week for a few essential oil based cleaners that I’m excited to try out. Do you use natural cleaners in your home? If so, leave me some recommendations on products that you love in the comment section below!

On the same wellness topic, I posed a few questions on Instagram Stories this week regarding clean beauty. The overwhelming response seemed to be that the majority of you are interested in clean beauty but either don’t know where to start or believe it’s too expensive to invest in. I’m excited to be sharing a blog post on Monday sharing my clean beauty story – where I started and why I believe it’s 100% worth investing in.

I ended my Monday on a pretty typical note – at SoulCycle! 🙂

Tuesday

On Tuesday I shared my review on The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. I’m already dreaming of my next visit! I spent most of my day working from home and squeezed in a long walk in the afternoon (after missing my scheduled noon yoga class).

Tuesday evening I joined Michael to try out a new-to-us restaurant, Kata Robata. We rarely eat out during the week so this was quite the treat! Everything we ordered, which was A LOT, was SO GOOD. We’ll definitely be back for date night again soon!

I shared my outfit from dinner in the @liketoknow.it app. Do you follow me there?! It’s the easiest way to quickly shop my outfits (or you can shop them here on the blog by heading to cobaltchronicles.com/shop-my-insta). I post outfits and home decor items in the app that don’t necessarily make it to my actual Instagram feed.

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared my updated morning routine! I love reading about how others start their days so I hope you enjoyed a little peek into mine!

My new favorite workout of the week is Hot Sonic Yoga at YogaWorks. Somehow I convinced Michael to join me after work on Wednesday. He finally understood what I meant when I said IT’S SO HOT IN THERE! 😉 He enjoyed it but also said it almost killed him. Ha With that said, he requested to go back again this evening (Friday evening), so I think he’s on board!

Thursday

It was nice to get out of the house on Thursday for a coffee date with Alice, Pamela, and Dawn. I met Alice a few years ago at The Blog Societies Conference and met Dawn at last year’s TBSCon. Such a small world! They introduced my to Tiny’s No. 5 and Milk and Cookies, which were both fantastic.

Weekend Plans

I’m looking forward to a low-key weekend this weekend. Planning on an evening yoga class tonight, takeout, and wine at home. On Saturday we’ll likely try out another restaurant on our Houston list! Other than that, I’m planning on hanging a few pieces of art around our house and making another Homegoods run (story of my life lately).

Favorite Things This Week

Follain Glow Body Oil // I’ve been wanting to try a body oil for a while now, and Follain kindly sent me their new Glow Body Oil to try out. It’s so good! I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and it has essentially replaced my lotion. A few spritzes go a long way. It’s not greasy like you may think. It really hydrates my skin and leaves a nice moisturized glow. It’s especially great for super dry patches like my heels and elbows. You can grab a travel size for only $12 to try it out! And if you’ve never heard of Follain, they’re a beauty store (cosmetics, skincare, bath & body) that only carries clean beauty products and they make products of their own as well. I’m a fan!

Clean Eyelash Primer // Another product I picked up from Follain, this clean eyelash primer! I’ve been looking to swap out my eyelash primer to a cleaner product but hadn’t found one I loved. This. is. it. I apply this Jane Iredale primer before applying my Beautycounter volumizing mascara. The combo is perfect. No clumping, no smudging. The primer acts to lengthen the lashes and provides another layer for the mascara to stick to.

Everlane Striped Tank // I wore this tank in two Instagram posts this week. It’s $20 and perfect for spring/summer. I have it in the bone/rose stripe color and love it. It runs TTS for the most part.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!
