Happy Friday! From Shreveport! One of the biggest perks about moving to Houston is that I’m now a short 4ish hour drive from my parents/sister/bffs! My mom’s birthday was yesterday so I drove in to celebrate and join the fam for dinner! I can’t explain how happy this makes me after 5ish years of having to book a flight to get home.

Let’s take a look back at the week, shall we?!

Monday

On Monday I shared all the details on Michael and I’s rehearsal dinner! We invited our entire guest list so it was a bit untraditional in that sense, but so much fun!

I spent most of the day working from home. My home office is coming together! It’s so nice to have the space to have a dedicated office at home in our new place! I mentioned last week that I got this desk (for under $200!) that I’m loving! I hung a few pieces of art and added this garment rack for more storage (the quality is really great!).

I ended the day at SoulCycle, my favorite way to end my Mondays!

Tuesday

On Tuesday I shared my experience glamping in Arizona at Schnepf Farms! Such a fun experience and definitely something worth checking out!

I tried out my second “hot” class at YogaWorks on Tuesday and holy smokes! I have never sweat as much as I did in the Hot Sonic Yoga class! It’s an hour-long class with the temperature set to 100-104 degrees and 50-60% humidity. If you’re looking for a good sweat session, I highly recommend trying it out!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared my thoughts on incorporating a first look into your wedding day plus a few snapshots from ours!

Wednesday was a busy day as most days are the day before heading out of town. I had a coffee meeting uptown and several calls for my Contracts for Creatives clients before packing up and winding down for the night. I’ve been getting tons of new dinner recipe ideas from Liz lately. We’ve recently tried the turkey burgers, enchiladas, and turkey meatballs – all were so good (and easy!)!

Thursday

After dropping Michael off at work (we’re sharing one car – our first car in 5 years!), I got on the road and headed to Shreveport to celebrate my mom’s birthday! Happy Birthday Mom! My mom, sister, and I had a lunch date, and I caught up with one of my bffs in the afternoon before heading to a family dinner to celebrate mom.

Weekend Plans

I’m spending the day in Shreveport on Friday and then heading back to Houston on Saturday morning. I’m excited to try out a new-to-us restaurant in Houston Saturday night – we went to BB’s, Eight Row Flint, and Coltivare last week – all were great!

Favorite Things This Week

H&M Sweater (Under $25!) // I shared this sweater on Instagram Stories, but it’s a staple in my wardrobe this time of year! I’ve had it since last year, but it’s still available on H&M’s site. It’s the perfect weight for spring!

Garment Rack // I mentioned this garment rack above, but it has been one of the best surprises from a quality standpoint out of all of the new items I’ve added to our house in Houston! If you’re looking to add a piece to your home for extra storage, I can’t recommend this piece enough!
