Week In Review

Splendid Sandals | Week In Review | Cobalt Chronicles | Washington, DC | Style Blogger

H&M Shirt | Madewell Denim (this year’s version) | Splendid Sandals (on sale!)

I’ve been basking in the 90 degree heat the past few days here in DC, it has been glorious!  This week was a busy one so let’s jump right into this week’s Week In Review!

Monday

On Monday I shared my experience with cutting sugar out of my diet for (almost) thirty days.  From the questions and comments I received, it looks like this is a topic you were really interested in!  Recently, I’ve become a lot more aware of what I’m putting in my body, and I’ve definitely switched up a few things in my everyday diet.  I definitely plan on sharing more posts about my eating habits soon since this seems to be a topic that really hit a cord with y’all!

Monday evening was met with my fave, a SoulCycle sweat session! #nevermissamonday

Tuesday

I’ve been working on organizing all of my Italy photos along with everywhere we went on our quick trip.  There will be a new #CobaltChroniclesTravels blog post next Tuesday recapping our whole trip!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a look back at how I did on my April goals plus what’s on tap for May!  I’m excited for all of the visitors that are coming to D.C. this month!  Check out the post for all the details. 😉

Wednesday evening I met with my friend Elise of Ringlet Studio at a new-to-me spot, Leopold’s Kafe.  It’s located in an alley that I’ve never been down before in Georgetown!  It was like a whole little stretch that I’ve somehow never stumbled across!

Thursday

If you happen to be a blogger, perk your ears (eyes) up for this little tidbit.  The Blog Societies, which is a cultivated community for bloggers and influencers that provides resources, connections, and tools to help grow individual blogs, hosts a big conference once a year.  I’ve been a member of The Blog Societies for almost three years now, and I attended the conference two years ago when it was in Charleston.

TBS just announced this year’s conference, which will be held August 9-11 in Atlanta at the The Hotel at Avalon, and I’m BEYOND excited to be hosting a workshop at the conference on blogging contracts!  If you’re already a member of TBS, I hope to see you there (tickets to the conference go on sale May 17th!).  And if you’re not a member, join today so you can  come too!

Weekend Plans

Exciting things are on tap for this weekend … I’m FINALLY switching my closet from winter to spring/summer!!!  If you’ve been stuck in the longest winter in the history of winters on the East Coast, you understand my excitement.  Besides that, I have a SoulCycle class on tap and we’re planning to meet up with friends to watch the Caps game on Saturday night (fingers crossed they don’t blow it!).

Favorite Things

A few fun things to share in this week’s edition of Favorite Things … including a big sale!

Stila Liquid Eye Liner // I’ve been using the same pencil eyeliner for years.  I’ve been looking for a liquid liner that goes on a bit thiner.  I tried a few before I landed on the BEST liquid liner!  I popped into Sephora last week, and one of the associates recommended the Stila micro tip, waterproof eyeliner.  It. Is. Amazing!  It’s exactly what I was looking for.  It goes on super smooth and super thin.  AND it stays put all day long!  If you’re in the market for a new eyeliner, I HIGHLY recommend trying this one out!

Fossil Bags (ON SALE) // You may have seen me feature this Fossil bag on my Instagram Stories last week.  A lot of you DMed me loving it!  I’m a huge fan of Fossil bags as I use this one every single day for work, and this is my favorite weekend bag (seen here).  This weekend only, Fossil is offering 25% off of their ENTIRE site with code MOM25.  So snatch up one of these cute bags for yourself and Mom (Mother’s Day is next Sunday!)

Aperol Spritz // The perfect warm weather cocktail, period.  I was hooked on these in Italy where nearly everyone sitting out in the piazza each afternoon was sipping on one.  It’s a refreshing, cold cocktail made with Aperol and prosecco as the main bases.  Depending on where you’re dining, some spots add in soda water or fresh fruit.  Yum!

Have a great weekend!
