Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I hope you’ve had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend!  I started off the week feeling refreshed after a weekend spent in sunny and warm West Palm Beach.  And on Monday I shared a spring look with y’all in my attempt to ignore the frigid temps here in D.C.

The district saw its first significant snow on Tuesday, and I had a snow day (aka a work-from-home-day).  It was so nice to stay home and get a lot of work done while watching the snow fall outside.  What better way to cap off a snow day than burgers and beers with friends?!  Tuesday night I met Monica and Serena for dinner at Bareburger, and we had the best time catching up!

  On Wednesday I shared a new-to-me clothing line that’s pretty amazing – the fact that the material has built in sunscreen and is wrinkle resistant is pretty freaking amazing!

On Thursday night, Michael and I had the opportunity to attend a happy hour here in D.C. hosted by The Points Guy.  You know from reading my Travel Tuesday posts that I’m all in on travel hacking (finding ways to travel with points), and The Points Guy is one of the first people/blogs that I started following who really opened my eyes to the possibility of being able to travel without being a billionaire.  It was really cool to be surrounded by so many other travel hackers and chat about our favorite destinations, travel bucket lists, and of course, our favorite credit cards for travel rewards!

A couple things of note that I wanted to share with you before I sign off for the week:

• The Nordstrom Beauty Trends Events are happening now at your local Nordstrom!  Remember when I went back in the fall?!  The events run for a full week and the dates vary by location, but if you have the time to attend, I highly recommend checking out the Beauty Trends Show, which happens on the Saturday of the Events week.  If you’re in D.C., The Nordstrom Beauty Trends Events week kicks off at the Pentagon City Mall Nordstrom this Sunday, March 19th and runs through Sunday, March 25th, with the show being held on Saturday, March 24th.  Contact your local Nordstrom store for Show details!
• Shreveport/Bossier!  This one is for you – Imelda’s is hosting a Katherine Way + Bernardo trunk show this weekend, Friday 5:30 – 7:30 and Saturday 10:30 – 4:30.  Katherine Way is originally from Shreveport and will be in the shop to share all of her new spring and summer pieces so be sure to stop by while you’re out and about!
