Well, well, well … after sharing monthly recaps with you every single month this year, I dropped the ball on June!  My last look back post was at the end of May!  It’s actually funny looking back at the May recap where I shared my goals for the month on June … I didn’t realize I had checked so many things off of my to-do list in the last two months!

With that said, I’ll do my best to catch you up to speed and share a few things that are on tap for the month of August!

Fitness Goals

I’ve been really consistent with my SoulCycle classes this entire year.  I usually ride 3-4 times a week, and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet!  It’s such a great workout, and I love the motivational aspect of class too!

It’s funny looking back on the May post – apparently that’s when I started the BBG workout program.  Spoiler alert, I don’t do BBG anymore.  Ha That lasted a whole month.  With that said, I am looking to incorporate another type of workout into my routine besides SoulCycle.  I’m actually trying out Orange Theory for the first time today!  I’m also really interested in trying out solidcore.  Hopefully I’ll have incorporated one of those on a consistent basis when we touch base again at the end of August!

Contracts for Creatives / Cobalt Chronicles

Back in my May post I mentioned that I had some big news to share regarding both my Contracts for Creatives business and this blog!  If you missed my post on the big news, check it out here!  I shared the full story on why I decided to quit my cushy corporate job and become fully self-employed!

On another exciting note, I launched a new website for my Contracts business!  If you’re a creative entrepreneur or a small business owner, be sure to check it out.  I also hosted a workshop at Fostr Collaborative this month.  It was such a joy to share my contracts knowledge with other DC area creatives!

On the blog front, two major sales happened this month – Amazon Prime Day and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  The Nordstrom Sale is still going strong!  It ends this weekend so be sure to scoop up any items you’ve been eyeing!  Check out what I bought, my top beauty picks, plus my favorite last minute picks that are still in stock!

I’m excited to be heading to a blogging conference this month both as a workshop host and an attendee.  I’ll be at The Blog Societies Conference in Atlanta next week!  I can’t wait!

Wedding Planning

I’ve loved incorporating a few wedding related posts here on the blog over the past couple of months!  I love connecting with you all, and sharing steps throughout the wedding planning process makes me feel like y’all are part of the process as well!  So far I’ve shared my bridesmaid story and how I asked my bridesmaids to be in our wedding, why we chose to get married in The Bahamas, and my wedding dress shopping experience!

We’ve checked off a lot of big ticket items in the planning process.  My mom and I are visiting the resort in September so we should have a good grasp on everything heading into the fall!

Travel

My travel was pretty light in June and July.  Michael and I joined my family for our annual beach trip to Destin, Florida in June.  And we spent the 4th of July in Colorado with friends.

I’m currently home in Shreveport, Louisiana for a little visit through the weekend, and next week I’m heading to Atlanta (for the conference I mentioned above) and Birmingham, Alabama.  At the end of the month, Michael and I are joining his family for a trip to Lake Tahoe and Napa!

I think that pretty much gets us up to speed on the last two months!  Cheers to closing out the summer with the best month yet!
